2021 will be the tenth anniversary of my newsletter It Happens Every Tuesday, and I thought time for a change. Because I can't promise the newsletter will go out every Tuesday, or even on a Tuesday, I'm cutting to the chase and calling it kurre.art news. The idea behind the newsletter is still the same, connecting the images and objects I make to the everyday world I live in and sharing how and why with whoever is interested. The newsletter was initially named It Happened Every Tuesday after a year-long project exploring the art in every day. It featured fifty- two works, one a week from July 1999 to June 2000, each accompanied by a short story on the events that animated a work’s creation, beginning and ending on Tuesday. The It Happens Every Tuesday project was exhibited at Perimeter Gallery, Chicago, and made into a book. The slide show images are reproduced from the book.
